Gustavo Alberto Garcia Vaca is a multidisciplinary artist and writer. Gustavo’s artworks have been exhibited in museums and art galleries including ICA in London; LACMA in Los Angeles; and Parco Museum, the Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation and the Mori Museum/Mado Lounge in Tokyo. His writing has been published in literary anthologies and journals including Rattle and The Bilingual Review. His artwork appears on T-shirts created by BEAMS T and SOPHNET. and on Be@rbrick toys released by Medicom Toy Corporation. Gustavo creates artwork for record covers, websites and live concert projections for musicians including the Foundation of Jazz artists Alice Coltrane and John Coltrane; Detroit Techno producer/DJ Jeff Mills; and Francois K's Deep Space dub record label. Gustavo’s collaborative artwork with art director Hideki Nakajima was awarded by the Type Directors Club NYC, included in the TYPOGRAPHY 30 art book published by Collins Design and exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
